Her first album called KIV was released in 1998, but it was not too big a sale in the market then. After Leipzig, Yvonne Catterfeld then joined the singing contest called Stimme in 2000 using the name ViVianne. This is where she met BMG talent manager Thomas Stein who offered her a contract with the sub-label Hansa Music. Yvonne then released her first single called Bum and other three subsequent singles which also did not make it to the charts, but it introduce Yvonne Catterfeld in the world of TV though.
In 2002 - 2005, this hot German singer, actress landed a role on the German soap Gute Zeiten, schlechte Zeiten playing the role of Julia Blum. Perhaps helped by her presence on TV, Yvonne Catterfeld finally broke the music chart with her fourth single called Fur Ditch. The single hit the music charts when it number 1 in German, Swiss, as well as the Australian singles charts. Miss Catterfeld went on to do another album called Meine Welt, which also made it on the charts and was later certified a Platinum hit. All her subsequent albums therein had no trouble climbing on top of the chart like her second album Farben Meiner Welt.
This hot and sexy blonde captivated the audience when she did the telenovela Sophie Braut Wider Willen, even the show did not meet expectations of the network. It ended earlier as planned with only 65 episodes. After the telenovela ended, Yvonne Catterfeld released her first English song which is done in collaboration with English singer Eric Benet.
Yvonne Catterfeld was leaving with Germa actor Wayne Carpendale but the two broke up in August 2007.
