Tea Leoni’s career began as she went to star in several TV series and movies, such as the 1989 Santa Barbara, the 1991 movie Switch, a small part in the 1992 film A League of their Own, Wyatt Earp and the Counterfeit Contessa. It was only until 1995 that Tea Leoni hit it big when she starred in the box-office hit Bad Boys, along Martin Lawrence and Will Smith. The following year, she played as Tina Cable in the 1996 movie, Flirting with Disaster.
In 1998, when Tea Leoni played the role of Jenny Lerner in the commercially successful movie, Deep Impact, where she gained much acclaim. She later starred in a Woody Allen movie, Hollywood Ending, alongside Mark Rydell and Allen. On the third installment to the major box-office hit, Jurrasic Park, Tea Leoni starred with Sam Neill and William H. Macy in the Jurassic Park III. This film was one of her most notable films.
Tea Leoni was ranked #79 on the 2000 FHM 100 Sexiest Women. In 2004, Tea Leoni appeared in the comedy-drama film, Spanglish with Cloris Leachman, Paz Vega and Adam Sandler.
Tea Leoni is a goodwill ambassador for the UNICEF. In an interview from Life Magazine, Leoni states that she volunteered as a goodwill ambassador partly because of her paternal grandmother’s influence as she was the president of the UNICEF U.S. fund for 25 years.
In June 8, 1991, Tea Leoni married television producer Neil Joseph Tardio at St. Luke’s Church in New Jersey. The couple divorced in 1995. After nine weeks of courtship, Tea Leoni married actor David Duchovny on May 6 1997. In April 24, 1999, Tea Leoni gave birth to their first child, daughter Madelaine West Duchovny. A son named Kyd Miller Duchovny followed in June 15, 2002. In a June 14, 2007 interview on the Tonight Show, Tea Leoni commented about her 10-year anniversary and stated that being married in Hollywood is equivalent to 50 years in the real world. To renew their marriage, the couple got themselves a tattoo on their ring fingers. Tea Leoni and her family currently lives in Malibu, California.
