It was in 1982 when she had her first job as a model. She was only 15 years old then. Three years later, she tried signing up with the Ford modeling agency but was rejected. Never minding the rejection she has encountered, she went on her was and tried to sign up in another agency. She was accepted by Click Model Management which brought her to Europe where she established herself as a top model.
She went to Italy and France to model. She has also appeared on covers of high-fashion magazines such as Vogue, Mademoiselle, Glamour and Self. She also appeared in Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue. The sexy Talisa Soto was chosen by People magazine as one of the 50 Most Beautiful People in the World in 1990. In 2002, this hot model came in number 58 on the Maxim Hot 100 Women of 2002.
Besides being an accomplished model, Talisa has also taken a huge step towards Hollywood.
It was in the film License to Kill when Talisa Soto starred alongside Timothy Dalton, Carey Lowell and Robert Davi. Released in 1989, it was one of the five James Bond films directed by John Glen.
In 1995, she was included in the cast of the Hollywood film Don Juan DeMarco where she played Doña Julia, the love interest of Don Juan (played by Johnny Depp).
In 2002, she co-starred with Benjamin Bratt and Giancarlo Esposito in the movie Piñero which is about the poet-playwright-actor Miguel Piñero. For this movie, Talisa Soto was nominated in the category Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture in the ALMA Award.
The hot Talisa Soto first got married in 1997 to Costas Mandylor. They got divorced in 2000. She then fell in love once again with co-actor Benjamin Bratt. The two got married on April 13, 2000 and had their first daughter Sophia on December that same year. The couple had another baby, Mateo, who was born on October 3, 2005.
