Sean Young is a graduate of Cleveland Heights High School in Cleveland Heights, Ohio.
In 1980, she started her career in Hollywood when she starred in Jane Austen in Manhattan where she played the character of Ariadne Charlton. This was later on followed by a role in the film Stripes. In 1982, she also starred in Blade Runner and Young Doctors in Love. She then appeared in TV series such as Tender is the Night, Blood & Orchids and Under the Biltmore Clock.
It is a long stretch of movies and television series that she has appeared in. In 1987, she starred in No Way Out as Susan Atwell. In the same year, she also appeared in Wall Street. She starred in 1988 in the films The Boost and Arena Brains.
Sean Young has appeared alongside Jim Carrey and Courteney Cox in the Morgan Creek Productions comedy film Ace Ventura: Pet Detective in 1994 when she was asked to play the role of Lt. Lois Einhorn or Ray Finkel.
She had appeared on Dr. Jekyll and Ms. Hyde in 1995. She played the role of Helen Hyde. In the movie, Richard Jacks played by Tim Daly is a perfumist working at a major fragrance company. Tim became extremely curious about the experiment of his great grandfather Dr. Henry Jekyll. He then started working with formulas and decided to add more estrogen when he found out that his ancestors formula increased male aggression. The potion had side effects turning Richard Jacks into Helen Hyde, a ruthless sexy nymphomaniac determined to climb the corporate tower.
Sean Young is a trained dancer having been able to go to school and study in the American Ballet in New York. Her training has just been recently showcased in the Los Angeles production of Stardust making her career still hot.
