She started out early in show business. She was only 11 years of age when she first appeared on TV on one episode of the Cracker. Cracker is a television crime series in the United Kingdom created by Jimmy McGovern. It is under the production of Granada Television and is distributed through ITV.
In 1996, she appeared in the independent film Bobs Weekend.
She appeared in a lot of television series after that. She was seen on episodes of Adams Family Tree (1997), Heartbeat (1997), Life Force (2000) and Doctors (2000), among others. She starred in the 2000 film Theres Only One Jimmy Grimble where she played the role of Sara. She was also seen in an episode of TV Burp.

It is about the experiences of the people of different ages and status residing Coronation Street. In 2007, this sexy and talented hot actress was nominated in the British Soap Award as Sexiest Female for the series Coronation Street. She won, also on the same year, in the British Soap Award Best Storyline for Coronation Street, an award that she shared with Kate Ford and Bill Ward.
She has also appeared in the British Broadcasting Corporations annual telethon Children in Need in 2003.
