Rachel Blanchard got into acting early; with her first stint in television being a McDonalds commercial as a child, as well as starring in Canadian childrens show The Kids of Degrassi Street. Other Canadian shows she has starred in include The Campbells, Glory Enough for All, and On My Own. She is also well known for starring in the Nickelodeon series, Are You Afraid of the Dark which also earned her a Young Artist Award nomination in the category Outstanding Performers in a Childrens Program. Rachel Blanchard has also starred in British shows such as the comedy Peep Show where she stayed for 7 episodes, and the series Chris Cross.
She has also acted for many big US movies and alongside known actors in her roster of films, such as sequel to the horror cult classic The Rage: Carrie 2 in 1999, Road Trip in 2000 with Tom Green, Brekin Meyer, and Sean William Scott; Sugar and Spice in 2001 with Marley Shelton and Mena Suvari; Without a Paddle in 2004 with Seth Green, Matthew Lillard and Dax Shepard; and with Samuel L. Jackson on Snakes on the Plane in 2006. Rachel Blanchard also starred in 7th Heaven as a new addition, and lasted for 40 episodes from 2002-2004. Aside from the silver screen and television shows, Rachel Blanchard has also dabbled in indie films, such as Wild Dogs and Nailed. She has also appeared in the music video for Maroon 5s song Sunday Morning.
Rachel Blanchards svelte figure and disarming good looks have also earned her a place two times in FHMs 100 Sexiest Women of the Year. She is also currently filming two movies, both set to come out in 2008: Growing Up and Adoration. Rachel Blanchard lives in Toronto when she isnt busy filming in Los Angeles. She is a vegetarian, and has a dog; Wilmer, a bull terrier.
