Piper Perabo was born in New Jersey on October 31, 1977. She studied at the Tom’s River High School North, and went on to the Ohio University where she took up acting. Piper Perabo then moved to New York, so she could give acting a shot. Things were moving quite slowly, she had to do all sorts of odd jobs to support herself, she was also a waitress at one point. While in New York, she was also studying at the La Mama Theater and had roles at some low budget films. She also shot a Skittles commercial.

In 1999, Piper Perabo went to audition for a major role in the film Whiteboyz. She lied during the audition, as she was asked if she knew how to rap, and she said she did even if she really had no idea how to rap. When she got news that she got the part, Piper Perabo took a crash course in rapping, and ended up being quite good at it. Although Whiteboyz did not make it big, she was finally able to get the attention of directors and producers, and she was seen as a star to look out for.

Piper Perabo was then cast for the action and animation movie The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle in 2000. She was truly a star on her way up, and soon enough she got her first major lead role for the movie Coyote Ugly. The film seemed to mirror her own struggling life as a waitress and bar maid. In 2001, she also starred a major role in Lost and Delirious, and in 2002, Slap Her… She’s French!. In 2003, she starred with Steve Martin and Bonnie Hunt, as their eldest daughter in Cheaper By the Dozen. The movie brought home millions during the first weekend.

In 2004, Piper Perabo was cast in Perfect Opposites, a romantic comedy, followed by The Cave where she was cast as a tomboy leading a team of biologists into a cave. The following year, she joined the cast of Cheaper by the Dozen to film the sequel. Films that followed this include The Prestige, and more recently Because I Said So, and First Snow. She is quite unpredictable as an actress, we can only watch for her next moves. Piper Perabo has been dating Matthew Perry since 2006.
