Paris Whitney Hilton was born on February 17, 1981 in New York, New York. She is the oldest of four children (Nicky, Barron and Conrad) of Kathy and Richard Hilton. Paris Hilton’s paternal grandparents are hotel chairman Barron Hilton. Paris, Nicky and her brothers moved between several homes during their youth, including Manhattan, Beverly Hills and the Hamptons.

Paris Hilton attended Marywood Palm Valley School in California (freshman year), Dwight School in New York (sophomore and junior years) and Canterbury School in Connecticut (senior year), but later dropped out of school. She earned a GED afterwards. Being an heiress to the Hilton hotels and finances from her maternal side, the value of her inheritance is estimated at around $30 to $50 million.

Paris Hilton began her modeling career at an early age, being exposed to charity events, where she first appeared. When she turned 19, Paris Hilton joined Donald Trump’s modeling agency and worked for several modeling agencies worldwide, including Ford Models, Models 1 Agency, Nous Model Management and Premier Model Management. She appeared in various ads, including GUESS, Christian Dior, Tommy Hilfiger, Iceberg Vodka and Marciano.

In 2001, Paris Hilton developed a popularity that extended way beyond the runway, making her “New York’s ‘it’ Girl”. The show continued on to its fifth season.

Aside from Simple Life, Paris Hilton also appeared in several television shows, including Las Vegas, The O.C., American Dreams, Veronica Mars and the George Lopez Show. Aside from modeling as well as appearing in TV and films, Paris Hilton also launched her own recording company, Heiress Records in 2004 and released her self-titled album, entitled “Paris” on August 2006. Her second album will be released in Fall 2007.

Paris Hilton also has an autobiographical book entitled, “Confessions of an Heiress: A Tongue-in-Chic Peek Behind the Pose”.
