Neve Adrianne Campbell was born on October 3, 973 in Ontario Canada. She is the daughter of Gerry Campbell who taught drama classes in Ontario and Marnie Neve, a psychiatrist from Amsterdam. Born as a catholic, Neve Campbell also identifies with her maternal Jewish ancestry. At a young age of 2, Neve’s parents divorced, so she and her brother, Christian, stayed with their father frequently with visits to their mother’s home.

When Neve Campbell was 9, she moved into the dorms of the National Ballet of Canada, where she trained and appeared in various productions, such as “Sleeping Beauty” and “The Nutcracker”. Her career goal shifted to acting when she turned fifteen, performing at the Pantages Theater in Toronto. Although she originally planned to become a professional ballerina, Neve Campbell shifted her career goals into acting when she accumulated numerous injuries from ballet.

Although the first starring role of Neve Campbell was in a Canadian TV series, “Catwalk”, which didn’t lasted long, her break came when she won a lead role in the teen series, “Party of Five”, wherein she played Julia Salinger from 1994 until 2000.

In 1996, Neve Campbell won a leading role in her first widely released movie, “The Craft”, which led to other jobs, including “Scream” trilogy, “Wild Things” and “Three to Tango”. After the third “Scream” movie, she appeared in two low-key movies – the 2000 film “Panic” and the 2003 movie, “The Company”, where Neve Campbell starred, co-wrote and produced. Her recent works include “The Company”, “Blind Horizon”, “Relative Strangers”, “Partition” and “Backstabbers”

Neve Campbell participates in campaign videos and literature for the Tourette Syndrome Association and Tourette Syndrome Foundation of Canada. Her younger brother Damian has Tourette syndrome. Neve Campbell also has two other brothers, Christian and Alex, which are both actors.

Neve Campbell married Canadian actor, Jeffrey Colt on April 3, 1995, but the couple divorced on May 1998. She dated other actors including Pat Mastojanni, John Cusack and Matthew Lillard. In 2005, Neve Campbell began dating English actor, John Light, whom she met while filming the 2001 movie, “Investigating Sex”. The couple became engaged that same year. When John Light proposed to Neve, he got down on one knee and recited a Shakespeare quote to Campbell. The married on May 5, 2007 in Malibu, but soon settled in London, England.
