Molly Sims was born on May 25, 1974, in Murray, Kentucky to Jim and Dottie Sims. She was a professional swimmer in her early years. She enrolled in Vanderbilt University to take up law, although she dropped out after two years to start modeling under a friend’s suggestions. With a height of 5’9, beautiful hair and drop dead gorgeous looks, Molly Sims was definitely destined to be among the top models.

Molly Sims is best known for hosting MTV’s House of Style in 2000, a feature that discussed the top and current runway and fashion trends. The television show showed that she has the ability to converse with viewers instead of just looking good, because she is gifted with both brains and beauty. Other television stints include reporting for the show Entertainment Weekly. Molly Sims has appeared in numerous magazines, some of which include the much coveted Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue in 2001 and 2002, Vogue, Mademoiselle, Cosmopolitan, Glamour, and Elle. She is also under contract with Cover Girl, and is the official spokesperson for Old Navy as well.

Molly Sims modeled in London as well as other parts of Europe, also modeling for some of the biggest names in fashion including Jimmy Choo, Michael Kors, Amani, and Chanel. She is just as much in demand in the American fashion scene as she is in Europe, having worked with lingerie giant Victoria’s Secret and appearing in their catalogue.

She appeared in small roles for television series as well as movies in 2003. Molly Sims’s first acting gig was a guest appearance for Las Vegas, an NBC show, where she proved she can also act. Shorty after in 2004, she appeared in Starsky and Hutch. Molly Sims also starred in Benchwarmers in 2006, playing the wife of Rob Schneider.

Molly Sims spends time in both her homes in Los Angeles and New York, and is very involved in charities and volunteerism. This shows she not only has a good head on her shoulders, but a big heart as well. Molly Sims is an active member of Friends of El Faro, an organization that that travels to Mexico to spend some time with the Casa Hogar Sion orphanage. Her other favorite charities are Operation Smile and the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund Inc.

Molly Sims is a big fan of yoga, and enjoys reading during her spare time. She also enjoys shopping, walking her dogs Poupette and Chloe, and watching movies.
