Mia Kirshner was born on the 25th of January 1975 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. She graduated from the McGill University with a degree in Russian Literature and 20th Century Movie Industry. She is one of the hottest stars on television in Hollywood today.

In 1989, Mia Kirshner was first seen on screen when she played the role of Jo in the Loving the Alien episode of War of the Worlds or War of the Worlds: The Second Invasion inn the US release. In 1990, she landed the role of Sophie Metternich in the television series Dracula: The Series. That same year, she was also seen in the Live Wires episode of Danger Bay, playing the role of Catherine Walker. The following year, she was seen in the episode My Other Secret Identity of My Secret Identity.

In 1992, Mia Kirshner played the role of Emily Everett-Smythe in the High Society episode if Road to Avonlea or Tales from Avonlea in the US release. That same year she was also seen in Are You Afraid of the Dark as Dora Pease, in the episode The Tale of the Hungry Hounds. Mia was also in the Runaway episode of Sweating Bullets as Cathy Paige.

In 1996, Mia Kirshner appeared in the movie The Crow: City of Angels, the sequel to the movie The Crow. The following year, she played the role of Kitty in Anna Karenina and the role of Laurie Callahan in Mad City. In 1999, she was in Saturn as Sarah and in Out of the Cold as Deborah Berkowitz.

In 2000, Mia Kirshner was in Dark Summer and in Cowboys and Angels. The following year, she was seen in Not Another Teen Movie, According to Spencer and Century Hotel. In 2002, she was in Wolf Lake, Now & Forever and New Best Friend; in 2003, in Party Monster; and in 2004, in The Iris Effect.

From 2001 to 2005, Mia Kirshner had a recurring role in the hit series 24, playing the character of Mandy. Then in 2006, she was seen in the movie The Black Dahlia, as Elizabeth Short. In 2007, she was seen in They Come Back and Buy Borrow Steal. She also has a recurring role in the series The L Word, as Jenny Schecter.
