Mackenzie Rosman was born Mackenzie Ryann Rosman on the 28th of December 1989 in Charleston, South Carolina. She is most famous for her role as Ruthie Camden on the long running series 7th Heaven. Playing the adorable girl Ruthie, she became one of the hottest young stars on Hollywood.

When Mackenzie Rosman was a lot younger, her parents divorced so she now lives in Santa Clarita, California with her mother, step father, her step sister and her brother. Their house is also home to several animals including goats, cats, horses, dogs and chicken.

Before becoming one of the most famous young actresses on television, Mackenzie Rosman has been modeling for several companies catering for children’s needs. At the age of four, she was seen in the commercial of Tuff’s Diapers. She also did a Nike shoes commercial before becoming an actress.

In 1996, Mackenzie Rosman auditioned for the role of Ruthie on 7th Heaven and landed the part by shaking hands with everyone on the set during the audition. Aside from playing the role of Ruthie Camden, she was also seen in the movie Gideon. In this independent movie, she starred opposite actors Charlton Heston, Shelley Winters and Christopher Lambert.

Aside from being on 7th Heaven and on several films, Mackenzie Rosman played the part of JonBenet Ramsey, in the movie made for television Getting Away With Murder: The JonBenet Ramsey Mystery.

In 2000, Mackenzie Rosman appeared in the video of the song, This I Promise You, playing the role of a girl with her grandparents. This I Promise You was a hit song by the boy band NSYNC. Just recently, she did another commercial, with her 7th Heaven costars George Stults and Beverly Mitchell, for Kmart.

When not busy with acting, Mackenzie Rosman is involved with being a good competitive equestrian jumper. At home, she loves to practice for competition and loves to take care of her eight horses. She is also active with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and tries to educate the public about the importance of organ donation.

Mackenzie Rosman also helps in the fundraising of the organization and knows the importance of cystic fibrosis since her sister was successfully operated in 2005. She is also an ambassador of the Childhelp Inc., an organization which helps abused children.
