Born on March 7, 1980 and originally form Watchung, New Jersey, Lauren Prepon is popularly known for starring in the FOX sitcom That 70’s Show as Donna Pinciotti. This was also her claim to fame, because although she had starred in TV shows and movies, it was That 70’s Show that made her an audience favorite because of her comedic talent, and got her the role for her new show, October Road. Some of her earlier works included the movies Slackers in 2002, Pornographer: A Love Story in 2004 and Karla in 2005. In 2004, she not only starred in the Lightning Bug but she also became an executive producer for the movie.

Laura Prepon made use of her good looks by modeling in Europe as well as in the United States before she started work for That 70’s Show, along with some commercials on the side. At the age of 17, Laura Prepon also starred in They Go On, an Internet based soap opera which was developed and funded by Levi-Strauss, as Chloe. Aside from that, Laura Prepon does guest voicing such as for one episode of King of the Hill and Halo 2, a videogame.

Laura Prepon’s mother, Marjorie, was a school teacher, while her father Michael was an orthopedic surgeon. She also says that if she weren’t acting, she would probably be an orthopedic surgeon just like her father, who passed away in 1994. Laura Prepon is an athletic girl who enjoys playing soccer, tennis, and horseback riding. Laura Prepon stays away from red meat, soda, chocolates, and dairy products such as cheese. A natural redhead and stunning beauty, Laura Prepon has also been chosen by Maxim Magazine as one of the Top 100 in 2005, as well as named as one of 102 Sexiest Women in the World by Stuff Magazine in 2002.

Laura Prepon went to school at the Watchung Hills Regional High School, but by 15 she was already knew she wanted to be acting so she did not finish secondary school. She then enrolled in the Total Theater Lab in New York City where she studied drama and appeared in several theater plays. She also took up classes in ballet, jazz, and modern dance. Her first stint in professional acting was for an MCI commercial, and the rest, they say, is history.

Laura Prepon stays in Los Angeles, but goes back to Watchung when she isn’t busy shooting. She is a true Jersey girl at heart as she has been quoted as saying her dream is to live in Jersey again.
