Spanish model, television star and films actress Laura Ponte started her modeling career after winning a modeling contest when she was 18 years old. Her exuberant looks and elegance outshines other models as she was chosen as ELLE Model of the year in 2005 in the Elle Style Awards Spanish Edition.

A Half Gallega and half Austrian, Laura Ponte was born on June 9, 1973 in Spain. The hot model started worked in the fashion industry in 1993. She worked with prestigious designers like Ralph Lauren, Lagerfeld, and Valentino among others. She posed for famous photographers Richard Avedon and Bruce Weber for various magazines.

Her acting career blossomed as she plays 21 year old Olvido in the movie Leon and Olvido (2004). Laura Ponte proves that she is equally equipped with acting skills as she exhibits an outstanding portrayal of a sister facing insurmountable challenge of taking good care of her brother Leon, who has Down’s syndrome. The beautiful star captured the heart of Miguel Gomez-Acebo y Borbon, the nephew of King Juan Carlos I of Spain. The two get married on September 18, 2004 in Segovia. The model/actress got pregnant and gave birth to a son, Luis Felipe who was born on July 1, 2005. Exactly a year after, the hot supermodel mom gave birth to another child, a daughter this time, also named Laura.
