Lake Bell Biography
She grew up in New York and went to Skidmore College in Saratoga and then later on she went to Rose Bruford College in London, UK. In London, she appeared onstage in the productions of The Pentecost and The Seagull. After graduating from college, she lived in London for a year before moving back to the US and lived in Los Angeles.
In Los Angeles, Lake Bell landed her first major role in War Stories, by NBC, opposite actor Jeff Goldblum. Prior to that, she was seen in Slammed in 2001, as Gina Micelli and in Speakeasy in 2002 as Sara Marnikov. Also in 2002, she guest starred in two episodes of ER, playing the role of Jody Holmes. That same year, 2003, she was also seen in I Love Your Work, playing the role of Felicia.
In 2004, Lake Bell appeared in the hit series The Practice, playing the role of Sally Heep. She was seen in the four episodes of The Practice: The Firm, Comings and Goings, New Hoods on the Block and Adjourned. The following year up to 2005, she was in the 14 episodes of Miss Match, playing the role of Victoria. By this time, Lake Bell was in demand for Hollywood television shows and was one of the fastest rising stars on TV.
In 2006, she played the role of Jullian Dune in the movie made for television, Rampage: The Hillside Strangler Murders. Also, from 2005 to 2006, Lake Bell was in the series Surface, playing the role of Dr. Laura Daughtery, for 15 episodes. She also had a recurring role in the hit series Boston Legal from 2004 to 2006, reprising her The Practice character, Sally Heep.
In 2007 Lake Bell was in Still Waters, playing the character of Charlie and for 2008, she is set to appear in Over Her Dead Body, Pride and Glory and What Happens in Vegas.
