Kristy Swansons first few roles after doing commercials were small roles, such as for Pretty in Pink and Ferris Buellers Day Off, both films of John Hughes. Her first major film cast her as a lead role for Deadly Friend in 1986, a horror flick which was a Wes Craven film for which she won the award of Best Young Female Superstar in Motion Pictures. Kristy Swanson also played the lead role for Flowers in the Attic in 1987, the film version of the VC Andrews horror novel for which she won Best Young Actress in a Horror or Mystery Motion Picture. Kristy Swansons movie credits also include Hot Shots with Charlie Sheen, Mannequin 2: On The Move, The Chase, The Program, Higher Learning, The Phantom, and Dude Wheres My Car, Early Edition, 8 Heads in A Duffel Bag, and Big Daddy, among others. In between movies, Kristy Swanson also did some television shows such as for Grapevine and Knots Landing where she played the part of Jody Campbell.
Kristy Swanson also did some television movies, some of which include Nightingales for NBC, Bad to the Bone for ABC, and Supreme Sanction for HBO. She is most popularly known for playing the original Buffy the Vampire Slayer in 1992, before the movie was turned into a television series. In November 2002, Kristy Swanson also posed nude for Playboy Magazine.
On February 2007, Kristy Swanson gave birth to her first son to companion Lloyd Eisler, Magnus Hart Eisler. Kristy and Lloyed met while costarring in Skating with Celebrities in 2005. Although Lloyd Eislers wife was pregnant when they started dating, they divorced just one month before Kristy Swanson gave birth to Magnus Hart.
