Kristin Lee Davis, also known as Kristin Landed Davis, was born on February 23, 1965 in Boulder Colorado. Davis’ parents divorced when Kristin was only a baby. When Kristin’s mother remarried in 1968, Davis was then adopted by her stepfather and moved to South Carolina. She remained in South Carolina until she finished high school at A.C. Flora in 1983 and moved to New Jersey to attend Rutgers University.

While in Manhattan, Kristin Davis landed theater and commercial jobs, including a role in the 1987 low-budget horror flick “Doom Asylum”. She accepted recurring roles on daytime dramas General Hospital and Another World.

In 1987, Kristin Davis graduated college and moved to New York, where she waited tables. In 1995, she got her first big break when she won the role of Brooke Armstrong Campbell on the TV drama series, Melrose Place. Unfortunately, producers found out that fans hated Davis’ bitchy character and her participation in the series was cancelled a year later. She also appeared as guest star in other TV series, including Seinfeld, Friends, The Larry Sanders Show, ER, and Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman.

In 1996, Kristin Davis appeared in the NBC made-for-TV movie, “The Ultimate Lie”. The following year, she starred in ABC’s TV-movie thriller, “A Deadly Vision”, wherein she played a woman with psychic abilities that predicted violent crimes. It was in 1998, however, that Kristin Davis won a role in the critically acclaimed HBO series “Sex and the City”, wherein she played Charlotte York until the show ended in 2004.

Immediately, Charlotte York, who was a 30-something, successful art dealer became a TV icon with the other three women of the show. Although Davis played the most conservative of the group, Charlotte York always ended up in the oddest romantic relationships. As the HBO show received a Golden Globe Award for Best Comedy Series, Kristin Davis’ career reaches its peak.

Due to her success in Sex and the City, Kristin Davis had the opportunity to choose her work. She starred in an NBC miniseries “Atomic Train”, co-starring Rob Lowe. She then acted alongside Lowe’s brother Chad in the 2000 movie “Take Me Home: The John Denver Story”. Other film credits include “Soccer Moms”, “The Adventures of Sharboy and Lavagirl in 3D”, “The Shaggy Dog”, “Deck the Halls” and “Three Days”. In 2008, Sex and the City: the movie will be released with the same casts, including Davis.

Kristin Davis dated famous actors like Alex Baldwin, Jeff Goldblum and Live Schreiber. She is currently living in Los Angeles.
