Kristanna Loken was born on October 8, 1979 in Ghent, New York. She is of Norwegian descent; her parents are Rande and Chris Loken; her mother was a former model while her father operates the LoveApple Farm. She grew up in her parents’ fruit farm in New York, and studied at the Rudolf Steiner Waldorf School where she took up singing, dancing, and acting. Kristanna Loken was also interested in horses, and took up equestrian lessons as well.

Kristanna Loken’s first acting role was in 1994 for one episode of As the World Turns, when she was just 13 years old. She then went on to become a model, winning third place in the Elite Look of the Year modeling contest held in Spain. It was not surprising she easily won a part, with her striking height of 5’11 and Nordic beauty. Kristanna Loken engaged in many modeling projects, although she preferred to keep her focus on acting, which she really loved.

She was a favorite of the silver screen, proving to be a hit among various audiences. Some of the television shows Kristanna Loken has starred in include Boy Meets World, New York Undercover, Law and Order, Unhappily Ever After, and Pensacola: Wings of Gold, D.C. She was easily able to adapt to her characters, proving herself to be a versatile actress even just in television shows. Kristanna Loken had no trouble switching from comedy to action roles.

Kristanna Loken is best known for her role in Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines as a cyborg terminatrix in 2003. The role garnered her some nominations, including the Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actress, the Cinescape Genre Face of the Future Award in the female category, and the MTV Movie Award for Sexiest She-Villain, even though she had very minimal lines in the movie. She also starred in a German movie in 2004, whose title translates to English as Sword of Xanten. In 2006, Kristanna Loken also appeared in the film adaptation of the video game BloodRayne. Her more recent roles include television series The L Word, as well as a science fiction series called Painkiller Jane.

Kristanna Loken is also very well known for her looks. She has been named number 3 on Maxim’s Hot 100 List in 2003, and number 70 on FHM’s 100 Sexiest Women in the World in 2006. She is also very open about her bisexuality, and is rumored to be dating Michelle Rodriguez, her costar in BloodRayne.
