Kimberly Williams was born on the 14th of September 1971 in Rye, New York. Her mother was a fund raiser and her father was a medical journalist. At the age of 13 she was already in show business and at school, in 1989, she had already directed Rye High School Musical Revue. After high school she attended the Northwestern University but left it during her sophomore year to appear in the film Father of the Bride. She returned to Northwestern, where she is a member of the Alpha Phi society, after the film and earned her degree a degree in drama.

Kimberly Williams is best known for her role in the film Father of the Bride and its sequel Father of the Bride Part II. In these two films she played the role of the bride, Annie Banks. She starred opposite comedian Steve Martin and actress Diane Keaton. For her role in the films, she became one of the most comely stars in Hollywood.

She is also known for her role in the sitcom According to Jim and for her appearance in the miniseries The 10th Kingdom. Kimberly Williams was also seen in more than twenty other films and television shows and series.

Aside from acting, Kimberly Williams is also one of the budding writer/director/producers in Hollywood. In 2006, she directed two episodes of According to Jim and Shade, which she has also written and produced. The following year she was again on the director’s seat in Numero Dos, for which she was also the writer. As a producer, she also co-produced the Lucky 7 and the Identity Theft: The Michelle Brown Story.

In 1997, Kimberly Williams was dating professional tennis player Pete Sampras but broke up with him in 1999. In 2003, she married country singer Brad Paisley and at present they have a home in Franklin, Tennessee. In 2007 she gave birth to their first born, named William Huckleberry Paisley.

Kimberly Williams appeared in her husband’s video of the song I’m Gonna Miss Her (The Fishin’ Song), from the album Part II which was released in 2002. She was also the inspiration of her husband’s Little Moments, which was a big hit and again she starred in the video of the song.
