Kimberley Joseph was born on the 30th of August 1973 in Vancouver, British Columbia. When she was three years old, her family moved to Queensland, where she then grew up. She attended the St. Hilda’s School in Gold Coast, Queensland and was sent to Montreux, Switzerland for another four years of schooling. Afterwards, she attended the Bond University to earn a degree in Arts and Commerce but she did not complete it, choosing instead to focus on her acting career.

Her first professional job as an actress was in the soap Paradise Beach, where she played the role of Cassie Barsby. She then appeared in Home and Away, playing the role of Joanne Brennan. She was also seen in Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, for which she played the role of Nemesis. In 1995 Kimberley Joseph co-hosted Gladiators in Australia and the three specials, International Gladiators.

Kimberley Joseph moved to New York and trained at the Atlantic Theater Company. After which she moved to Los Angeles hoping to get other roles aside from the soaps. In Los Angeles, she auditioned for Cold Feet, a UK program, and landed the role of Jo Ellison. Her character was introduced in Cold Feet’s fourth series and lasted until the show was cancelled in 2003. She was then already a star in the UK but she soon returned to Hollywood.

In 2004, Kimberley Joseph was seen in the pilot episode of the hit series Lost, playing the role of a flight attendant. Though set to die in the episode, the producers decided to keep her character alive. She then returned in the series’ second season and was revealed to have survived the crash along with the other passengers of the plane. She then appeared in several more episodes before the episode Abandoned, where her character again disappeared. In 2007, she again reprised her role in the series’ third season. That same year, she was seen in Take Home Chef on TLC.

At present, Kimberley Joseph lives in Los Angeles with her dog. When not busy with her career in acting, she is active in the Aid International, an organization aimed at publicizing the effects of nuclear testing in Russia. In 2003 she took pictures of the victims of radiation in Kazakhstan. The following year, the photos were exhibited at the Scottish Parliament Building.
