Kim Raver then went to Boston University and earned a degree in fine arts. Afterwards, she continued to appear on theatre, with Wynn Handman as her mentor. She is a versatile actress and her fluency in German and French made play different roles with conviction.
While appearing in several plays in New York, Kim Raver soon appeared in several commercial ads, including ads for Jeep and Visa. Then her break came in the form of the play Holiday. In this Broadway play, she acted opposite Tony Goldwyn and Laura Linney. Her performance in the play was hailed by the critics and she was considered as one of the fast rising stars in Broadway.
At the same time, Hollywood offers soon followed and she was then seen in the movie City Hall, which starred Al Pacino. Then she was seen back on stage in the Willimston Theatre Festival production of The Glimmer Brothers. In this play, Kim Raver costarred with David Schwimmer and John Spencer. Then she appeared in Third Watch and landed the role of Audrey Raines in the hit series 24. The viewers loved her on the show that she became one of the stars for two seasons. She is by then one of the hottest stars on television.
In 2006, Kim Raver starred in the series The Nine by ABC. Unfortunately despite the good pre-season rating, the show was cancelled. She then went to reprise her role as Audrey Raines in the 6th season of 24. Previously, her character was supposed to have been killed but it was found that she was instead held hostage by the Chinese. By the end of the season, she was in a state of coma. For 2008, Kim Raver is set to star in the new series Lipstick Jungle.
