Actress, director and writer Julie Delpy was born on the 21st of December 1969 in Paris, France to a show business couple. She was educated at Actors Studio in New York. She is more memorable to her viewers as the sexy Celine of the 1995 romantic movie Before Sunrise.

She began doing films when she was only 14 years old. She was first featured in the 1985 movie Detective. Afterwards, she landed roles on numerous European and American films.

Following her debut in 1985, she starred as Lise on the film Mauvais Sang in 1986. In 1988, she starred both in the movies The Passion of Beatrice and Beatrice as the lead. In 1991, she starred in Voyager as the lovely and sexy German girl with whom the character of Sam Shepard fell in love with.

Aside from her first love which is acting, she also has passion for writing and directing. In 1995, she wrote and directed Blah Blah Blah, a short film which was screened at the Sundance Film Festival. Then in 2007, she wrote and directed the romantic and very hilarious 2 Days in Paris. In this movie, she played the lovable and hot Marion.

Julie Delpy has earned four nominations for the following films: Before Sunset (Independent Spirit Award for Best Screenplay which she shared with two other personalities; again Before Sunset (MTV Movie Award for Best Kiss which she shared with hot actor Ethan Hawke); La Passion Beatrice (Cesar Awards France for Most Promising Actress); and Mauvais Sang (Cesar Awards France for Most Promising Actress).
