Jordan Ladds parents are Hollywood personas who are also famous celebrities. Her father is the actor David Ladd and her mother is the Charlies Angels starrer Cheryl Ladd. She began in the industry by appearing on TV commercials from the tender age of two years old. Her first appearance was in a Polaroid commercial opposite James Garner.
Jordan Ladd was born into an acting dynasty as Jordan Elizabeth Ladd on January 14, 1975, in Hollywood, California. Since her birth, people knew that she would fall on the same fate as her parents, which is to become a popular and hot celebrity. However, the decision to take this profession seriously only came to her after high school.
Jordan Ladd made appearances on TV movies and starred in low-budgeted horror films, where she was typecast. She has mainly focused in working on independent films instead of doing big-budgeted movies that are being shown on the silver screen.
Jordan Ladds serious career as an actress was launched after her guest appearance in Saved by the Bell: The New Class in 1994. Her portrayal in the show only proved that just like her mother, the sexy lady can be a versatile performer. She can act not just in the horror genre but also in comedy.
Her first high profile role came to her in 1999 when she was cast alongside hot Hollywood icon Drew Barrymore in Never Been Kissed, where she played as her villainess. Because she does want to be forever recognized because of her mother, she rejected the 2000 blockbuster Charlies Angels when it was offered to her. This is something which Jordan Ladd realized after sometime as a wrong decision. She has been frustrated by a series of flops and she thought then that her precious career would eventually meet its end.
However, the low-budgeted horror film Cabin Fever has saved her as it became a surprise hit. It energized her once more and has even earned her the title Scream Queen. This has been her passport to star in other shocking films which include the 2007 flicks Hostel: Part II and Grindhouse.
