Joanna Garcia was only 10 years old when she got her share of fame as she played the lead role in a theater production in her native land. Her performance there gained a number of fans who knew then that her popularity will go beyond stage acting. When Joanna Garcia was in high school, she was discovered by Nickelodeon and signed her for a TV debut in 1992. She got a part in Clarissa Explains It All, a popular segment of the popular show.
After appearing in Nickelodeon, substantial roles followed afterwards under the same network which includes a portrayal in the TV show Are You Afraid of the Dark. After that, she landed a role in the sequel of one of Hollywood’s funniest sexy films, American Pie.
After graduating from high school, Joanna Garcia attended Florida State University. Studying in the University only took her a year because she finds the call of Hollywood hills too irresistible. She dropped out after signing for the TV movie Holy Joe in 1999.
The hot popularity of Joanna Garcia was unstoppable as she turned up in popular shows such as Party of Five and Freaks, as well as in the show Geeks, where she played the role of the unforgettable cheerleader Vicky Appleby.
More remarkable roles followed with Boston Public, Providence, and Dawson's Creek. Her portrayal in Reba earned her a nomination in the 1995 Teen Choice Award under the category Choice TV Actress: Comedy. In 2001, she landed a role as Sandy Sue in the 2001 movie Not Another Teen Movie.
