Born as Jennifer McCarthy on November 1, 1972 in Chicago Illinois, this model turned actor is the second of four daughters – Joanne, Amy and Lynette. Jenny McCarthy attended St. Turibbius Grade School and Mother McAuley Liberal Arts High School, Brother Rice High School and St. Laurence High School. As a teenager, Jenny McCarthy was a cheerleader, but considered herself as an outcast. She pursued higher education at the Southern Illinois University Carbondale with a major in nursing.

To support her studies, Jenny McCarthy submitted her picture to Playboy magazine. Luckily, with her gorgeous look and sexy body, Jenny McCarthy was accepted to become a Playboy model in 1993. Her first photo shoot was for the October 1993 issue with a $30,000 paycheck. She became Playmate of the Month and later became the Playmate of the Year.

In 1994, Jenny McCarthy moved to LA and hosted the Playboy TV show “Hot Rocks”. The following year, MTV offered Jenny McCarthy to be the host of the music station’s dating show called, Singled Out. During this time, she became an instant hit as an MTV host and left “Hot Rocks”. Playboy offered her more modeling gigs. In 1997, MTV offered the sexy Jenny McCarthy another show called “The Jenny McCarthy Show”, which became a popular sketch comedy show. That same year, she appeared on the cover of the September issue of Playboy.

Aside from her Playboy stints and TV shows, Jenny McCarthy also appeared in several feature films including the 1998 comedy “Baseketball”, the 1999 movie “Diamonds” and the 2000 horror movie “Scream 3”. She also guest starred in TV shows such as Charmed, Stacked, Fastlane, Just Shoot Me! And The Drew Carey Show.

Jenny McCarthy is the spokesperson for Talk About Curing Autism (TACA). She aims to help by educating people that autism can be treated. She actively participates in online chats, fundraising events and other activities for the organization.

Jenny McCarthy was romantically involved with her manager Ray Manzella in 1998. She then married actor John Ashner on September 1999. The couple had a son named Evan Joseph, who was born on May 18, 2002. However, the couple divorced in August 2005. In December of that same year, Jenny McCarthy began dating comedian Jim Carrey.
