Jennifer Tilly Biography
Starting 1983, Jennifer Tilly received small roles in television shows and films. She won a recurring role in the series, Hill Street Blues where she played the role of the mobsters widow Gina Srignoli that became romantically involved with the lead character Henry Goldblume. However, it was only until she played the role as a singing waitress in the 1989 film, The Fabulous Baker Boys did Jennifer Tilly gained popularity. That same year, the hot young Jennifer Tilly played a small role in the horseracing movie, Let it Ride.
In 1994, she played a role as a hopelessly bad actress in the Woody Allen film, Bullets Over Broadway. Her role in this film gave way to an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. That same year, she also played alongside Kim Basinger and Alex Baldwin in the film The Getaway. In 1997, Jennifer Tilly played the bitchy client Samantha Cole in Jim Carreys movie, Liar Liar. In 2000, she portrayed a dominatrix and stripper in the movie, Dancing at the Blue Iguana.
Jennifer Tilly is more popularly known for providing the voice of the killer doll Tiffany for the Childs Play movies. In the movie The Seed of Chucky Jennifer Tilly lent her voice again to provide the role of Tiffany and an exaggerated version of the killer doll. She also voices over the successful animated series, Family Guy, lending her voice to the neighbor Bonnie Swanson. Jennifer Tilly also did vocal work for various animated feature films including Hey Arnold, Monsters Inc, Stuart Little, Home on the Range and The Haunted Mansion.
When not acting or doing voice-over work, Jennifer Tilly is busy playing poke. She has won a World Series of Poker bracelet and World Poker Tour Ladies Invitation Tournament in 2005. She also appeared in Poker Superstars, GSN Poker Royale and Celebrity Poker Showdown in 2006. The sexy Hollywood actress has over $300,000 of poker tournament winnings. She recently stated that she is more interested in pursuing poker than acting.
Jennifer Tilly married Sam Simon in 1984, but the couple divorced in 1991. She is currently dating professional poker player, Phil Laak, who is 13 years her senior.
