While working in Off Broadway Productions, her interest in becoming professional actress grew. She worked in For Dear Life and Dancing on Checkers Grave, while supporting herself through part-time jobs as a bike messenger and telemarketer. In 1989, Jennifer Aniston eventually moved to LA in pursuit of her acting career.
In 1990, Jennifer Aniston received her first TV role in the short-lived series Molloy, made-for-TV movie Camp Cucamonga and TV adaptation Ferris Buellers Day Off. She then appeared in two other failed TV sitcoms, The Edge and Muddling Through, while guest starring in Burkes Law, Hermans Head, Quantum Lead and South Park.
In 1993, Jennifer Aniston appeared in a horror film, Leprechaum, where she received critical ridicule and considered giving up acting for good. However, when she auditioned for the NBC sitcom, Friends in 1994, she was cast for the role of Rachel Green from start of the show in 1994 until its final episode in 2004. The show was a huge success and made Jennifer Aniston and her co-stars household names.
Jennifer Aniston and her hairstyle throughout Friends, which was called the Rachel, have been widely copied throughout parlors nationwide. According to the 2005 Guinness World Book of Records, Jennifer Aniston and all her female costars in Friends became the highest paid TV actresses of all time as they received a salary of $1 million per episode for the last two seasons. Jennifer Aniston also received five Emmy nominations and won an Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series.
Due to her popularity, she was offered several feature films, including Picture Perfect, Office Space, The Good Girl, Bruce Almighty, Along Came Polly, Derailed, Rumor Has it, Friends with Money and The Break-up. Forbes has listed the sexy Jennifer Aniston (with approximately $110 million net worth) as the 10th richest woman in Hollywood for 2007, in line with powerhouses Oprah, Madonna, Jennifer Lopez and J.K. Rowling.
Jennifer Aniston was married to actor Brad Pitt from July 29, 2000 to October 2, 2005 when their divorce was finalized. Since the divorce, the hot Aniston has been romantically linked with comedian Vince Vaughn. She remains best friends with Friends costar Courteney Cox Arquette.
