After graduation, she debuted on TV with a supporting role in The Perfect Tribute (1991). After a year, she supported Michael Douglas in Paul Verhoeven's thriller Basic Instinct (1992), the film that turned Sharon Stone into a sexy star. Her performance in this movie was well noted and other big films followed after sometime. It did not take Jeanne Tripplehorn long to establish her name in Hollywood. She has also worked alongside other top actors and actresses.
Jeanne Tripplehorns other movie projects include working with Tom Cruise in The Firm (1993), Kevin Costner with Waterworld (1995), Gwyneth Paltrow in Sliding Doors (1998), and Hugh Grant in Mickey Blue Eyes (1999).
