She used to toil in a local Dairy Queen before turning into a model. Her modeling career began when she moved to New York to showcase the clothes designed by Abercrombie & Fitch model. At the age of 18, she was already an accomplished model. She enjoyed a period of this hot career before she transposed to acting, which is her real childhood dream.
January Jones moved to Los Angeles after her requisite. She was first seen on the big screen when she played a small with role in the teen-oriented suspense thriller The Glass House (2001). That’s same year, she played a supporting role in Bandits. In 2002, she appeared in the film Full Frontal which was followed by the Jack Nicholson-Adam Sandler vehicle Anger Management in 2003. That same year, she was also featured in the films American Wedding and the third installment of the American Pie series.
She has landed high profile roles in films and other big projects and after a few years, she found herself being sought after by fans and male admirers. Before she could know, she was already a fixture in Hollywood, especially among youngsters. The films she has done are hits and this success added to her popularity.
In the past, January Jones has been romantically linked with two famous comedy actors, Jim Carrey and Ashton Kutcher. In 2003, she began to date pop sensation Josh Groban.
January Jones is fond of creating her own jewelries. Her name January was taken from a character in the Jacqueline Susann book called Once is Not Enough. The name of that character was January Wayne.
