Jana Ina was born on the cold night of December 12, 1976 in the lovely and spectacular city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Her birth name was Janaína Berenhauser and she was educated at the National University of Rio de Janeiro, where she graduated with a degree in Journalism. Her rise to fame in Brazil began when she worked as a model in her teenage years.

While she was still a youngster, she underwent numerous training programs and courses to improve her talent. She studied ballet, Jazz dance and Samba. These trainings had honed her dancing skills and she has been very good in this craft. To enhance her singing voice, she sang with the Meninas Cantoras de Petrópolis Choir for 11 long years.

She joined the Elite Model Agency in Rio de Janeiro when she was only 15 years old. This has been her passport in joining prestigious beauty pageants in her country, where she won all the coveted titles. She was crowned as Miss Petrópolis and Miss Rio de Janeiro. After winning these contests, she joined the Miss Brazil Beauty Pageant and she won the crown. Her pageant success did not end here because in the year 1998, she was crowned as Miss Intercontinental. Eversince, she has been a hot commodity in her country.

Hot offers poured on the beauty queen, which include TV appearances and roles in several films. She got offers to do various roles in films from being wholesome to sexy. Due to her rising popularity, she has decided to split her first name and come out to the public as Jana Ina.

Busy as she can be, being married to Giovanni Zarelli on the 30th of August 2005 did not stop her from working. Until now, she can be seen on various gigs in Brazil.
