Jamie Lynn Discala Biography
Actress and musician Jamie-Lynn DiScala started to use her screen name when she married AJ DiScala on July 2003; but prior to this, she has been known by her real name Jamie Lynn Sigler. The story behind her Hollywood success has been dramatic. Just like the characters that she played, her life too had its moments of ups and downs.
Jamie-Lynn DiScala was enrolled in dance school when she was only three years old. Four years later, she studied acting and singing. When she was already a teenager, she was singed to play the role of Anne Frank on Broadway, which is formerly played by Hollywood films icon Natalie Portman. Then, the role of Meadow Soprano came.
It was then that the sexy Jamie-Lynn DiScala has to undergo the trauma of handling a failed relationship, the pressures of being a famous personality and at the same time, the struggles of being a college student. These things made her suffer a severe mental anguish that almost developed a major eating disorder in her.
The producers of The Sopranos have thought of terminating her contract with the show because of what was being seen on her behavior; however, she was able to prove that she was in good mental health that is why they have decided to keep her. Because of these experiences, she was compelled to take up Psychology with the aim to help disabled children with their therapy.
Aside from being busy with her gig on TV and films, she was able to pursue her dream of becoming an accomplished music figure. In 2001, she has released her first album entitled Here to Heaven and it made her a hot singing sensation.
Being the winner of the SAG Awards Best Ensemble Cast and of the Hollywood Reporter Young Star Awards Best Young Actress in a Dramatic Television Series for her performance in the Soprano, Jamie-Lynn DiScala has proven that she is not just another pretty face and sexy figure, and that with her, being hot is not just for a moment. She was able to set records that will go down to the History of Hollywood.
