Ione Skye started as a model when she was only 2 years old. When Director Tim Hunter spotted her in a fashion lay out; he immediately signed her up as Clarissa in the 1986 movie River's Edge. This served as her debut on the big screen. The following year, she made her debut on television with the TV-movie Napoleon and Josephine: A Love Story (1987).
She got her breakthrough role when she played as Diane Court in Cameron Crowe's bittersweet romantic comedy Say Anything (1989), which also starred Hollywood actor John Cusack. Being really attractive and sexy; Ione Skye underwent a transition from portraying juvenile roles to more adult and hot roles.
In the year 1990, she had significant roles in the films Mindwalk and Carmilla. In the Sam Waterston starrer, Mindwalk, she played as Kit Hoffman, while in the short period piece Carmilla, a Nightmare Classics episode which starred Meg Tilly, she played as Marie. Her first TV series was the 1992 serial Covington Cross.
Her first marriage was with actor musician Adam Horovitz in 1991 but was divorced in 1999. Adam was the son of playwright Israel Horovitz. She again married, this time with David Netto in March. 2001. They had one child and separated in 2004.
Aside from acting, dark haired Ione Skye also has passion for writing. This passion came to fulfillment when she was given the chance to write for the movie Bed, Bath and Beyond in 1996, which she also co-directed. She has also written episodes for the show Head Case from 2006 up to present.
Ione Skye was indeed a hard working and busy figure. Her life evolves in acting, directing and writing.
