Hudson Leick was born Heidi Hudson Leick on the 9th of May 1969 in Cincinnati, Ohio. She is most famous for her role as Callisto in the television series Xena: The Warrior Princess. Leick, her surname is an original of The Netherlands and is pronounced as “like”.

Hudson Leick first modeled in Japan, after graduating from high school. As a model, she traveled across the globe and this started her passion for visiting different parts of the world. After modeling for several years, she decided to pursue acting in the movies and television.

In 1994, Hudson Leick landed a lead role in the drama University Hospital by Aaron Spelling. Unfortunately, the series did not last several seasons and was soon cancelled. Then she was next seen in another Spelling series, Melrose Place. She was also seen in the series Tru Calling as a guest star.

In 1995, Hudson Leick landed a role in the adventure series Xena: Warrior Princess. In Xena, she played the role of Callisto, the evil warrior, from 1995 to 2000. Then she was next seen in the series Touched by an Angel, for which she played the role of Celeste, an angel. Aside from her television appearances, she lent her voice in the video game Primal, as Jennifef Tate. She was also seen in several films and television shows and series.

She was seen in One, Two, Many and in Hallowed Ground in 2007. In 2006, Hudson Leick was seen in A.I. Assault. In 2005, she was seen in the hit series, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation as Dr. Jeri “Buffy” Cohen. Even when Xena was cancelled, she almost always graces all the Xena-related conventions.

At present, Hudson Leick lives in Los Angeles where she also teaches yoga. She is a certified member of the California Yoga Teacher’s Association and has been teaching and studying yoga for almost ten years. She has trained with some of the world’s renowned yoga masters, including, Ana Forrest, Gurmuck and Erich Schiffman. She has traveled in Nepal, where she studied Vipassana meditation. She has also studied the Five Rhythms of yoga, which was supposedly based on the teachings of Gabrielle Roth. As a yoga teacher, she specializes on Hatha uoga and Kundalini yoga and for her classes, she combines both methods.

Aside from teaching yoga, Hudson Leick is also busy with Healing Hear Yoga, Inc, one of the leading yoga retreats found in the different locations across the globe. Hudson Leick is also an active supporter of the James Ellis Foundation and tries to participate in all their breakfast charities.
