Born Hilary Ann Swank on July 30, 1974 in Nebraska, this award-winning Hollywood actress came from humble beginnings, growing up in a trailer park near Lake Samish, Washington. At a young age, Hilary Swank became active in her school and community theater programs, first appearing on stage in a play version of The Jungle Book. Aside from acting, the young Hilary Swank was also active in sports, competing in the Junior Olympics and Washington State championships in swimming and all-around gymnastics.

Hilary Swank attended Sehome High School until 16 years old. When her parents divorced, Hilary and her mother moved to Los Angeles where they lived in their car until her mother saved money to rent an apartment. Hilary Swank then continued her studies at South Pasadena High School, but dropped out to pursue a professional acting career. Among her first roles was in small appearances in TV series such as Growing Pains and Evening Shades. However, it was in September 1997 that Hilary Swank got her break and appeared on Beverly Hills 90210 for 16 episodes.

In 1999, Hilary Swank received the leading role in Boys Don’t Cry, which earned her critical acclaim, a Golden Globe Award and an Oscar Award, both for Best Actress. In 2004, Hilary Swank again won an Oscar and Golden Globe for her performance in Million Dollar Baby, where she underwent extensive boxing training and gained almost 20 pounds of muscle for the role.

Hilary Swank became a hot item after winning multiple awards. It led to various openings, such as a three-year contract for the Guerlain fragrance in 2006. On January 8, 2007, Hilary Swank received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

In 2007, Hilary Swank starred and produced the drama true-to-life film, Freedom Writers, which received positive reviews from both critics and audience. She also appeared in a horror film, The Reaping and in the romantic comedy, PS: I Love You. She will also be appearing with a small role in the Marvel movie, Iron Man in 2008.

Hilary Swank met actor Chad Lowe in 1992, but the couple married on September 1997. They separated and divorced in 2006. The talented and sexy Hilary Swank is currently dating her agent, John Campisi.
