Haylie Duff is famous for her 7th Heaven role and in the movies Napoleon Dynamite and Material Girls. She was seen in many television shows and series including her sisters Lizzie McGuire by the Disney Channel. She is also seen in another Disney show Thats So Raven. Aside from her regular appearances in Disney Channel, Haylie had guest roles in the television series Joan of Arcadia. She was also seen in the television dramas Chicago Hope, American Dreams and Boston Public.
In 2004, Haylie Duff landed a major role in the film Napoleon Dynamite. In this independent film she appeared as a typical popular teenager. The following year, Haylie landed the role of Sandy Jameson in the long running hit television series 7th Heaven. She played the role of Simons girlfriend.
Then she landed a role in the DVD movie Cindy and The Halo Boy. In this DVD movie she appeared opposite teen star Frankie Muniz, from the Malcolm in the Middle fame. Haylies role in the movie is the leader of a group of high school girls. Frankie played her counterpart, the leader of a group of high school boys and avid Halo video game player. In the film Frankies character Geekling got her pregnant.
In 2006, Haylie Duff got the part of Amber von Tussle in the Broadway production of the musical Hairspray. The same year, she appeared in the movie Material Girls. For 2008 she is set to appear in the horror movie The I Scream Man by Crispin Glover.
Aside from her career in acting, Haylie Duff is busy with her music career. In 2003, she co-wrote several of the songs from her sister Hilarys Metamorphosis and Hilary Duff albums. She also co-wrote the song Gypsy Woman from the fourth album of her sister, entitled Dignity. Haylie also recorded several singles, most of them from the album Disneymania. She is set to release her own album by 2008, entitled Masquerade.
Haylie Duffs other television show appearances included Complete Savages in 2005 as Jessica, Third Watch in 2003 as young Faith and The Amanda Show in 1999 as the jealous girl in the crowd. For films she appeared in My Sexiest Year, Foodfight! 2008, I Remember, Legacy, In Search of Santa, I Love Your Work, The Newman Shower, Dreams in the Attic, Addams Family Reunion (for television), Hope (for television) and True Women (for television).
