Georgina Verbaan was born Georgina Carolina Verbaan on the 9th of October 1979 in The Hague. In 1988, she joined Harlekijn, the musical for which she was inspired to become an actress. In 1991, she attended the Rabarber theatre school for a four year course on acting. In 1997, when she was just 16, she gained national celebrity status for her portrayal in the Goede Tijden, Slechte Tijden, for which she played the character of Hedwig Harmsen.

At that time, Georgina Verbaan was one of the main reasons why the soap opera was such a big hit. For her portrayal, she was nominated as Best Actress in a Soap by the Dutch Academy Awards for 1998. Then in 2000, to the disappointment of her fans, she left the soap to seek other challenging roles.

In 2001, Georgina Verbaan was seen in the movie, Costa! Aside from appearing in the movie, she also sang the theme of the movie, Verban. She also released a single entitle, Ritmo. That same year, she landed her first appearance in an international movie, in Soul Assassin. The following year, she was seen in the film Volle maan. Then in 2003, she was seen in another international film, Adrenaline.

In 2004, Georgina Verbaan appeared in Playboy Dutch issue, which resulted in speculations whether her breasts were real. To prove that they are indeed real she had radiography. In 2005, she appeared in the B-movie, Joyride, for which she was awarded the Gauden Ui. The Gauden Ui is the award for the worst performance in Dutch movies.

In 2006, Georgina Verbaan entered politics and became the representative of the Party for the Animals. Still, she remains one of the biggest stars in The Netherlands. She has done several television and film appearances. She was also seen as a guest star in the show Lotte. She was also one of the candidates in Ranking the Stars.

Georgina Verbaan is set to appear again in the next season of t Schaep Met De 5 Pooten, for which she was also set to record several songs for it. So far she was seen in its 8 episodes including, Blijf uit onze buurt!, Als je mekaar niet meer vertrouwen kan, Contract Is Contract, Een kastelein is ook maar een mens, Door! Je gaat te ver and others.

Georgina Verbaan will be seen in the film Alibi in 2008 as Andrea. In the meantime, she is busy with civic works and with t Schaep Met De 5 Pooten.
