Frederique van der Wal was born on the 30th of August 1967 in The Hague, Suid-Holland, The Netherlands. She grew up in Zuider Zee. She finished in her bachelor’s degree in economics in The Netherlands. Frederique is most famous for the cover of Cosmopolitan and Sports Illustrated. She is also one of the most famous models of Victoria’s Secret.

Frederique van der Wal is one of the 80s top supermodels. She won the Elite Mode of the Year contest which earned her a contract with Elite Model Management. Her face has graced the cover of many fashion magazines and fashion catalogs. She has also done hundreds of runway modeling.

In 1980, Frederique van der Wal was signed by Victoria’s Secret when it launched a collection for younger women. She, along with American supermodel Stephanie Seymour, were instrumental for Victoria’s Secret’s rise to international prominence. Together they made Victoria’s Secret what it is today.

Aside from her modeling career, Frederique van der Wal also appeared in many television shows and films. She was seen in Wild Wild West starring Wil Smith. She played the role of Amazonia, the assistant of Dr. Arliss Loveless. Then she was seen in Celebrity by Woody Allen. She starred with Charlize Theron and she played the role of Charlize’s character’s friend.

Frederique van der Wal was also seen on the end of the movie 54. The movie starred Salma Hayek, Neve Campbell, Mike Myers and Ryan Phillippe. She played the part of a VIP entering the club. Her other cameo appearance was in the film The Million Dollar Hotel. The film starred Amanda Plummber, Milla Jovovich and Mel Gibson. Then Frederique van der Wal was seen on Celebrity Mole: Hawaii by ABC. She played the role of a player hired to sabotage the game. At present she hosts the show Cover Shot by TLC.

Frederique van der Wal’s current boyfriend is screenwriter Nicholas Klein. She also has a beautiful daughter with him named Scyler Pim Klein.
