The Hollywood award-winning actress Felicity Huffman was born in December 9, 1962 in New York. Along with her six sisters and a brother named Moore, Felicity Huffman was raised by her mother since her parents divorced a year after her birth. She attended Interlochen Arts Academy and New York University, where she graduated in 1988 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drama at the Tisch School of the Arts.

Felicity Huffman is known for her role in the comedy ABC series, Desperate Housewives and her portrayal in the critically acclaimed movie, Transamerica. On television, the sexy Felicity has also appeared in Sports Night and guest starred in The West Wing, Frasier and Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip. She is the only Desperate Housewives actor that appeared in all three TV shows of Aaron Sorkin – The West Wing, Sports Night and Studio 60. Aside from her successful television career, Felicity also appeared in big-screen films, such as Christmas with the Kranks and Raising Helen.

For her work on Desperate Housewives, Felicity Huffman won an Emmy for Outstanding Actress in a Comedy Series. She also received two 2005 Screen Actors Guild Awards – Best Actress in A Comedy Series and part of a Best Ensemble in a Comedy Series. In her performance in the film Transamerica, Felicity Huffman garnered a Golden Globe for Best Actress and several Best Actress nominations, including Academy Awards and Screen Actors Guild. She is scheduled to appear in two 2008 films – The Politician’s Wife and Phoebe in Wonderland.

Felicity Huffman is married to award-winning actor William H. Macy on September 6, 1997. The couple has two daughters, Sofia Grace (born August 2000) and Georgia Grace (born March 2002). Felicity Huffman appeared alongside her husband in several television shows and movies, such as Magnolia. In 2005, Felicity Huffman revealed to the public that she suffered from bulimia and anorexia during her twenties. Dropping her weight down to 98 pounds, she became too weak to workout. With constant therapy and William Macy’s introduction into her life, Felicity Huffman overcame those weight problems.

Aside from her TV and movie work, Felicity Huffman is also a co-author of a self-help book entitled, A Practical Handbook for the Boyfriend.
