Faith Ford has always been involved in acting and had performed in several plays while she was in high school. Then when she turned seventeen, she decided to move to New York to pursue her career in acting. In New York she was able to get modeling and commercial stints. Her first television appearance was in the ABC television series, One Life to Live. This was followed by her first major role, in the soap Another World by NBC. In Another World, she played the character previously starred by Kyra Sedgwick, Julia Shearer. She was Julia Shearer for several years in Another World.
Faith Ford soon landed the role in the sitcom, The Popcorn Kid and a recurring role in the series Thirtysomething. Then she was soon cast as one of the regular characters in the hit sitcom, Murphy Brown, which was played by Candace Bergen. She played the role of Corky for nine years, until the end of the show.
After Murphy Brown, Faith Ford continued to appear on television. In 1998 she was seen in the sitcom, Maggie Winters, which she co-produced. She also co-produced the short film, Citation of Merit, which was showcased in several film festivals in the US. She was also seen in the ABC sitcom Hope & Faith, opposite Kelly Ripa.
In 2004, Faith Ford wrote and published her own cookbook entitled, Cooking with Faith. Then the following year, she was seen in The Pacifier. Then in 2007, Faith once again landed a role in another sitcom, the Carpoolers.
At present, Faith Ford is married to Campion Murphy. She married him in 1998 and they are busy producing short films. Prior to Murphy, Faith was once married, from 1989 to 1996, to Robert Nottingham.
Faith Fords other appearances in film and television includes Beethovens 5th, Mom on Strike, The Norm Show, Family Guy, Sometimes They Come Back for More, Night Visitors, A Weekend in the County, Something Wilder, North, The Hidden Room, Poisoned by Love: The Kern County Murders, For Goodness Sake, Murder She Wrote, You Talkin To Me?, If Its Tuesday, It Still Must Be Belgium, Cagney & Lacey, Webster and Hardcastle and McCormik.
Faith Ford was also seen in Live with Regis and Kathie Lee, The Tony Danza Show, Martha, Ellen: The Ellen DeGeneres Show and others.
