Eve Salvail was also in the famous fashion film by Robert Altman, the Prêt-à-Porter. Aside from this fashion film, she was also seen in the movie The Fifth Element, and just recently in the comedy film, Zoolander. In January 2007, she appeared as a guest in Tyra Banks Show. The show was entitled, Coming Out Stories, and Eve finally came out of the closet.
Aside from being a model and from time to time acting on scree, Eve Salvail was also busy with songwriting and deejaying. She was also the lead singer of the band, Ten Watt Mary and has collaborated with some of musics greatest artists including Bryan Adams and David Zilbert.
In 1996, Eva Salvail was the It Girl of Paris, particularly in fashion scene. Her shaven and tattooed head earned her a devoted following and designer Jean Paul Gaultier made her his muse, featuring her in several of his campaigns. Prior to that, she had already gained recognition in the 1994 Robert Altman film Prêt-à-Porter but in 1996, she was the toast of Paris.
Eve Salvail was then under the Wilhemina Models and Modelwerk agencies and was in also in the campaign ads of Chanel, Levis Jeans, Moschino, Versace Couture, Otto Kern, Roccobarocco and Versus by Gianni Versace.
However, when Eve Salvail was attack by a crazed taxi driver, she decided to leave Paris and change her life. As she told the story, she and her girlfriend took a taxi and when they had no smaller bill than 200 francs for the fare, the taxi driver got very angry. Eventually, the driver chased her down the street and attacked her. When they told the police about what happened, the police said that they cannot do anything unless she was dead.
Eve Salvail then left Paris and settled down in New York. There, she cut back on her work and ended her relationship with her then girlfriend. Now married to a man, she is more open about her lesbian relationships, including her first relationship with fellow beauty contestant when she was nineteen.
