Erika Eleniak was born Erika Maya Eleniak on the 29th of September 1969 in Glendale, California. Her mother was an Estonian German while her father was a Canadian with Ukrainian lineage. She is famous for her role the television series Baywatch and as a Playboy Playmate. Her parents divorced when she was young but it was her father’s girlfriend who got her involved in showbiz. She introduced her to television commercial producers. Erika then used to model for children’s clothes’ commercial in television. Then in 1992, Elliot kissed her in the film E.T. The Extra Terrestrial.

As a teenager Erika Eleniak partied hard and got involved in alcohol and drugs. In 1988, her quadriplegic friend Steve Ferguson got her to join the Alcoholics Anonymous. This helped Erika clean her act. Erika then landed roles in television.

Erika Eleniak was seen as Stephanie Curtis in the hit sitcom Charles In Charge, opposite Scott Baio. Then she was next seen in Broken Angel opposite James Coburn. Then in 1989 she posed for playboy. She was then featured in two covers; and in the 1989 July issue as centerfold.

Erika Eleniak was then next seen on the hit series Baywatch. She played the character of Shauni McClain. She starred with David Hasselhoff and Billy Warlock. She and Billy dated until 1993. In 1992 she was seen in the hit film Under Siege. She played the role of a Playboy Playmate, Jordan Tate. The role was based on herself, being the 1989 July Playmate of the Month. In the film, she did a striptease for the U.S. Navy ship captain.

The following year, Erika Eleniak appeared in the film adaptation of the television series The Beverly Hillbillies. She played the character of Elly May Clampett. In 1994 she landed a role in Chasers, a film directed by Dennis Hopper. Then the following year, she was seen in Girl in the Cadillac. She starred with William Mc Namara and they fell in love while shooting the film. The same year she was also seen in Panic in the Park and in A Pyromaniac’s Love Story.

In 1996, Erika Eleniak appeared in another independent film Bordello of Blood. Then she was next seen on 8th Precinct: Hitwave the following year. In 1998 she was in The Pandora Project and One Hot Summer Night. Then she was seen in 1999 in Final Voyage and Stealth Fighter; in 2000, in The Opponent; in 2001, in Vegas, City of Dreams and Snowbound; in 2002, in Second to Die and in Shakedown; and in 2003, in Betrayal. At present, she continues to appear on television and films.
