Erika Andersons first appeared on the big screen in the year 1988 when she landed a role in the independent film Lifted. This film also starred Paul Gleason, Orestes Matacena, Bodie Plecas and Charles Schneider; however, the film that gave her a breakthrough performance and instant fame is the 1989 horror flick A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child, where she played the role of Greta Gibson.
In the 1991 film Zandalee (Concorde Productions), she portrayed the role of Zandalee Martin, a woman who is married to a corporate executive which is portrayed by Judge Reinhold. When her marriage started to bore her, she turned for solace to her husbands best friend, who is played by Nicholas Cage and their closeness led to an illicit affair.
The film Shadows of the Past was released in 1991 and here, Erika Anderson portrayed the role of Jackie Delaney who remembers nothing. She portrayed the role of Margaret in the film Object of Obsession, the divorced woman who is on the look out for a new and hot sexual adventure. This erotic film was released in the year 1995. Erika also appeared in the films Quake in 1992; Club V.R. in 1996; Ballad of the Nightingale in 1998 and Ascension in 2000. This was so far the last film where she starred.
In the film Catch Me If You Can, she worked as a casting assistant, a task which she really enjoyed because that was a new adventure for her. The film was released on 2002.
Erika Andersons television breakthrough came in 1992 with Ravens Return of the Black Dragons episode. She was also seen on television with various guest appearances. Her other TV credits are Silk Stalkings, Dream On, Twin Peaks, and Red Shoe Diaries.
