Then in 2004, Erica Durance had a guest starring appearance in The Chris Isaak Show. In the show, she played the role of Ashley. In the episode, she played a woman dating Chris. Then she next appeared in Tru Calling. In this episode of Tru Calling, she played the role of one of the contestants in a beauty pageant, contending against the character of Eliza Dushku. She was seen ext in Sci-Fi Channels Andromeda. In this hit sci-fi series, she played the role of a librarian who is also the love interest of Tealc. Erica Durance was also seen in The Collector where she played the role of a sister to one of the lead characters.
In 2004, Erica Durance landed a lead part in the hit series Smallville. In this CW series, she played the role of Lois Lane, the love interest of Superman. She recurrently guest in the shows fourth season in 2004 and 2005. Then in 2005 she became one of the cast as her character became a regular of the show. From 2005 to the present season of Smallville, she is still one of the regular casts of the show.

In May of 2006 Erica Durance was one of FHMs Worlds 100 Sexiest Women. She was on the 38th spot. Then in 2007, she was again in FHMs list but this time she got the 20th spot. In October 2007, she was on the cover of Maxim.
Erica Durance was previously married but divorced her husband by 1999. Then in 2005, she married David Palffy, a Canadian actor and they both now live in their house in Vancouver.
