The six foot international icon of beauty and health, Elle MacPherson, was born on March 29, 1964 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. She was a child of a millionaire but in spite of that, her parents separated and her mother took care of her after the divorce. She was an actress, model and at the same time, a business minded person. Tagged as The Body, she is perhaps best known for her record of four covers on Sport's Illustrated's highly anticipated Annual Swimsuit issue.

Times Magazine confirmed Elle MacPherson as one of the most recognizable super models of the world when it ran a cover story on her career entitled ''The Big Elle'' in 1986. Elle MacPherson, as a way of transcending the traditional career path of the super model, established her own company in 1989 and called it Elle Macpherson Intimates. This Australian based lingerie company became very profitable and famous in that country.

As the Chairperson of this business, Elle MacPherson has piloted the company to become the country's most recognized brand name when it comes to lingerie. In addition to making her mark in the world of business, she is also also making a good name for herself as an actress.

Elle MacPherson debuted on the big screen in 1993 when she made her feature film Sirens opposite Hugh Grant and Sam Neil. She was also offered a two year multi media deal with Miramax Films because the executives were impressed by her great skills in acting. Some of her film credits include a solid roster of roles in Franco Zeffirelli's Jane Eyre, If Lucy Fell opposite the famous Sarah Jessica Parker, Barbara Streisand's The Mirror Has Two Faces and the famed Batman & Robin.

Elle Macpherson’s Fitness video Your Personal Best Workout / The Body' became Billboard Magazine's no. 1 special interest video in the year 1995 and is distributed worldwide.

Elle MacPherson is already separated from her husband Gilles Bensimon. She is now enjoying life as a single mother to her one and only son Flynn. This blue-eyed actress, model and businesswoman established homes in the U.S., London, and Australia. She was an icon of success.
