Her first foray into film was in the highly controversial remake of Stanley Kubricks Lolita, where she played the role of the young temptress Dolores Haze. She may have received a notorious image at first because of her role, but this at the same time led her to more substantial roles which quickly recognized her acting prowess. Before scoring on the role in Lolita, Dominique Swain obtained a bit part in Joseph Rubens The Good Son and as well auditioned unsuccessfully for a part in the movie An Interview with the Vampire.
After completing Lolita, Dominique Swain immediately worked on her second movie, the action/thriller Face/Off, where she played the role of John Travoltas daughter. It was not long after Face/Off when she starred in Shawn Mullinss music video, Lullaby. The following year, Dominique Swain starred in the feature film Girl, about a straight-A teenager who sought to explore the Portland rock scene. In 2000, she starred as the under-appreciated intern at a hip magazine who faces the challenges of life, love and fashion in Intern. This was followed by Mary Janes Last Dance, Tart and Happy Campers.
Because of her astonishing looks and gorgeous figure, the hot actress Dominique Swain was ranked #79 Stuff magazines 102 Sexiest Women in the World. In 2007, she graced the cover for the same magazine and as well appeared in the horror movie Dead Mary, which became a favorite among horror fanatics. Her most recent work was in a cameo appearance in the Nickelback video Rockstar where she lip syncs the songs lyrics while in a bathtub filled with bubbles.
Dominique Swain is an active supporter and spokesperson for the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), and she became the youngest celebrity to pose nude for the group. She has often been mistaken to be a vegetarian in the past, mainly because of her support for anti-fur campaigns.
