Dita Von Teese is an American actress, model and burlesque enthusiast born on September 28, 1972in Rochester, Michigan. As a child she already possessed the passion for performing, and like her mother, Dita Von Teese was a fan of the old MGM Technicolor musicals and was very much fascinated with the stars of Hollywood’s Golden Age. While growing up, she took up dancing as well as acting lessons. Her eye for fashion awakened when she was 16, while working at a lingerie store. Dita Von Teese became fond of lace and all those fancy accoutrements, and thus the fashion sense as well as the spirit of an erotic entertainer was born.

This sexy bombshell started out as a model and took part on over-the-top erotic shows as well as B-movies. At the same time, Dita Von Teese worked as a party entertainer, and it was there where she was discovered by Playboy who eventually had her photos published in as early as 1997.
