Denise van Outen is a British actress and model born on May 27, 1974 in Basildon, Essex, England. She began her career at the age of seven as a model for knitting patterns, and has already displayed her passion for performing. This led her to studuing at the Sylvia Young Theatre School. As a student, Denise van Outen became friends with All Saints’ member Melanie Blatt as well as appeared in plays such as Les Miserables, Stop the World- I Want to Get Off and A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

As a teenager, Denise van Outen started to appear on various television dramas under the screen name of Denise Douglas. She also took part in a girl group in which she had become Denise van Outen. It wasn’t long after she became a glamour model, wherein she was voted Rear of the Year in 1999 as well as the most desired bikini body of 2007 in Gracia magazine.

Denise van Outen became part of Channel 4’s The Big Breakfast as a weather and travel reporter in 1996, and soon became one of the show’s hosts in 1997. As an actress, Denise van Outen appeared as Dorothy in the adult version of The Wizard of Oz in 1995. She then concentrated on her acting skills in Tube Tales as well as the romantic comedy Are Your Ready For Love. In 2001, she played the role of Roxie Hart in the musical Chicago at the Adelphi Theatre. Her other theatre credits include Tell Me On A Sunday and the London revival of Rent in 2007. On the big screen, Denise van Outen is set to appear on Goal! 3, on 2008.

This hot and sexy actress was once involved to Jamiroquai lead singer Jay Kay in the late 1990s, but the two split up in 2001, as well as a brief romance with fellow Sylvia Young student James Lance in 2007.
