Davinia Taylor is a British actress and socialite born on November 11, 1977 in Wigan, Lancashire. Being the daughter of Alan Murphy, one of the wealthiest men of United Kingdom, she attended the prestigious Rossall School and later at Winstanley Sixth Form College studying Theatre and Performing arts in 1994. She then left the school to start her career as a model, and not long afterwards she joined the cast of the popular Channel 4 soap opera, Hollyoaks. She then became a household name and was then known by the character of party girl Jude Cunningham. Among her most memorable scenes in the soap was when she set up a mock wedding before leaving the country using her sister’s passport. Davinia Taylor stayed on Hollyoaks for one year, until she was dismissed by the management due to ‘persistent bad timekeeping’.

Upon leaving Hollyoaks, Davinia Taylor took on roles in TV movies such as Is Harry on the Boat, Bostock’s Cup, the comedy film Soul Patrol. She also made an appearance on an episode of Urban Gothic, and eventually became a host on The Big Breakfast and Top of the Pops, @ Play, and made a guest role in the documentary series Young, Hot and Talented for Five. Davinia Taylor became one of the sexiest female stars in Britain, as she became a cover girl on Maxim magazine in its February 2003 issue, as well as ranked to be one of FHM’s 100 Sexiest Women in the World in the years 1996, 1997, and 1998. In 2006, The Sunday Mirror announced that she was returning to Hollyoaks, but Davinia Taylor withdrew from the opportunity due to dealing with some ‘personal problems’.

Davinia Taylor has been one of the stars frequently targeted by the tabloids due to her numerous sensational romances, including that of Ryan Giggs, and Kylie Minogue’s ex-beau, James Gooding. She then married football agent Dave Gardner, in an extremely posh wedding ceremony in July 2003. The best man was the groom’s best friend, David Beckham, and the bridesmaid was former Atomic Kitten member Jenny Frost. She has given acting since she got married, but has not ceased being a prey of the watchful British press, for she was mentioned in the alleged cocaine sessions done by Kate Moss and Sadie Frost at the set of Primrose Hill.

Despite having separated three times, Davinia Taylor is now back with her husband and has recently given birth to a son named Grey on June 2007.
