In 1985, Daphne Zuniga starred in the movie The Sure Thing opposite John Cusack. In the same year, she worked with veteran actress Lucille Ball in the TV drama Stone Pillow. In 1986 she took on the lead role of the cult film Modern Girls which was followed by Spaceballs in 1987 and Gross Anatomy in 1989.
After such films, Daphne Zuniga became active again on television, and became known to the audiences as Jo Reynolds in Melrose Place. She also starred in the series Pandoras Clock, as well as provided her voice for the animated series Stories from My Childhood. In 1996, Daphne Zuniga became a guest in the Endymion parade at the Mardi Gras.
Daphne Zuniga was soon seen in a recurring role on American Dreams, as well as the show Beautiful People on ABC Family. She also worked with Steven Latham in the documentary The Future We Will Create: Inside the World of TED (Technology, Entertainment, and Design).
As one distinct actress who made her mark in Hollywood from a teen star to a mature fine woman, Daphne Zuniga now takes on the hit show One Tree Hill and is expected to be seen on its 5th season. She also graced the 5th season premiere of the show Nip/Tuck.
Daphne Zuniga was once a victim of mercury poisoning, which was brought about by her daily consumption of fish. She now drinks protein rich shakes to cleanse the mercury away from her body. Daphne Zuniga could be seen riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle until about 2002. This sultry actress is as well busy devoting her time in promoting environmental awareness issues.
