She first was a receptionist, and eventually became a runner on The Eleven OClock Show. The shows producers were in search of a female interviewer, who, instead of acting out straight would rather use comedic lines and tried Daisy Donovan. She then made appearances as the It Girl, Pandora Box-Grainger. Because of her comedic performance each time the cameras go on the roll, Daisy Donovan was promoted to presenter. She then became the Angel of Delight who was let loose to interview politicians. In one episode, she asked British Labour politician Denis Healey if he would ever give Margaret Thatcher a pearl necklace. This comedic yet strong willed interview led her to a hosting job with co-actor Iain Lee on the same show from late 1999 to 2000. In the middle of 1999, the executives of BBC 4 were rumored to be considering her as the new host of The Big Breakfast, but no further details followed.
